Daily Dev Log for July 27th, 2017
Hey everyone! Here’s what everyone on the team has been working on over the course of today, July 27th, 2017.
@Zak worked on an AGC debugging tool to aid in developing the random event feature for the Lobby servers. He also wrote the networking protocol for the chat system and discussed it with @Foohy.
@macdguy completely redesigned the Lobby server browser look and function. He added region dividers to make it easier to find Lobbies based on regions, and also rewrote the friends list to give it a better dropdown UI. He cleaned up the Store UI, and started implementing basic dialogue talking for the stores. He created two manifests today, one for payouts (so the team can easy alter them if needed), and one for the chat dialogues for the Store NPCs. Lastly, he updated the internal changes list so the team can test new releases easier.
@Foohy implemented a bunch of Steam achievement functions into the game, implemented a callback function for download achievement icons, and implemented the new server browser, so that official servers ALWAYS show up and can be attempted to join.
@Lifeless fixed some camping spots in Amphitheatre and Market, and replaced the grey carpet texture using in the Condos so that it tiles correctly (totally didn’t lose the old texture or anything). He also made Hole 18 on Altitude more predictable to prevent players from randomly falling off the level as often, and made some more changes to the Waterhole visual update.
@MrSunabouzu continued doing some research on Zombie Massacre.
@Madmijk continued creating models for his SDNL map.
@Johanna continued her work on the art for the Virus map, Solar.
@Caboose700 continued working on the web portion on the Moderation API, finishing the “ban_theater_video” and “verify_theater_video” API calls. He also built production lighting on Altitude.
@donglekumquat finished creating sounds for the vault door item.
@Krionikal started retopologizing the hand model.
