Daily Dev Log for July 24th, 2017
Hey everyone! Here’s what everyone on the team has been working on over the course of today, July 24th, 2017.
@Zak started working on the global chat system, managing to receive packets from @Foohy in a test. He also wrote a high-level socket library for easy networking.
@macdguy wrote up an announcement about the state of Tower Unite, and our future plans. He also worked on investigating smother animation state blending, and added the ability to walk while holding down the ALT.
@Foohy worked over the weekend constructing a functional prototype for sharing player locations between lobby servers. He worked on the server side web-socket, and the client side dedicated server consumer and test applications.
Today, he uploaded the prototype to the test server, and tested the functionality with other team members. He also began working on an achievement manifest for storing / setting achievement data. Lastly, he added an optional fade delay for the fading doors for @Matt.
@Lifeless continued working on art for the Zombie Massacre map, Gasoline. He also attended a meeting about the payouts and helped adjust them. Lastly, he made a voting kiosk model for later implementation.
@Matt worked on some things.
@MrSunabouzu continued working on Fishing items, as well as doing some Zombie Massacre research.
@Madmijk continued creating models for his SDNL map. He also fixed light leaking through walls at sunset in the suite condo.
@Johanna continued her work on the art for the Virus map, Solar.
@Caboose700 transcribed the meeting notes, built production lighting on Condo maps, and started writing the documentation for the Voting and Moderation APIs.
@Krionikal worked on making a new watermelon model, and made some tweaks to the handgun animations.
