Daily Dev Log for January 4th, 2018
Hey everyone! Here’s what everyone on the team has been working on over the course of today, January 4th, 2018.
Hey everyone! We're back from our holiday vacation. You can read about it all here.
@Zak dealt with some compiler issues, and investigated the dual-monitor issue.
@macdguy worked yesterday on fixing some core issues with the game. He fixed the store pedestals not working due to changes to improve load times, made the condo map list no longer use the horizontal scrollbar, and changed the menu background to an image (that will rotate through other images soon) to reduce load times. He fixed the main menu losing input after you click on the splash screen, replaced the ocean shader in high rise, improving the performance on the map as well. He fixed canvas sprites drawing through water, also making them masked so they will take in lighting and draw shadows. He disabled the day / night on the Minigolf map, Forest, reduced direct references to decrease the amount of files that get accessed when the game loads up, and investigated the load times.
Today, he fixed the mouse sensitivity resetting on startup or server change. He also fixed canvas sprite issues, setup and included developers to our new bug tracker / task manager backend, and investigated the Linux client issues.
@Foohy is gone until next week.
@Lifeless continued working on the Zombie Massacre map, Gasoline.
@Matt continued working a Flamethrower weapon for Zombie Massacre, creating and baking the UV.
@Madmijk continued working on Zombie Massacre, fixing the aiming code.
@Johanna continued working on the new Plasma Rifle for Virus, working on the UVWs, and finishing the low and high polys.
@Caboose700 transcribed meeting notes, updated the copyright years on various websites and in Tower Unite, synced his computer with the rest of the team, and wrote the "We're Back" announcement.
@Wergulz is gone until the 8th.
@donglekumquat continued working on music for Zombie Massacre, working on the Main Round #2 music.
@Krionikal continued sculpting new hands, and started learning Maya.
That’s what everyone at PixelTail Games has been working on today! See you all tomorrow!
