Daily Dev Log for December 8th, 2017
Hey everyone! Here’s what everyone on the team has been working on over the course of today, December 8th, 2017.
@Zak continued working on Steam Workshop, refactoring code for the skeletal data. Bones now use an interface similar to IMaterial and ITexture, and animations are represented by an IAnimation interface. He also added a CMatrix3x4 class backing transforms for bones and animations.
@macdguy continued working on Winter Events. Today he implemented the new Snowball particle (by @Krionikal), fixed respawning issues with the minigames, and fixed the collisions of trees and rocks in the Winter event arena. He added some more rocks for players to have things to hide behind in the event area, and fixed an issue where speed shoes would get re-enabled when a player respawned. Potions are disabled now upon entering minigames, a Death HUD was added to the minigame system (for snowball battle), and the damage indicator effect was fixed.
@Lifeless continued working on the Zombie Massacre map, Gasoline. He also tested a scaled down version of the Virus map, Desertion with @macdguy, @Caboose700, and @Madmijk, and he made a couple of changes to the snowball battle arena.
@Madmijk continued working on the Turrets for Zombie Massacre, continuing to work on functions to sort zombies by their distance to the turret, so it can prioritize shooting at nearby zombies.
@Johanna is back to work after recovering from her surgery! She did some finishing touches on the decorated winter plaza in the game worlds ports and the Tower Skydeck, and began investigating the implementation of occasional snow storms in the Winter plaza.
@Caboose700 helped test the scaled down version of the Virus map, Desertion, finished building production lighting for most of the maps, and expanded the capacity of the Art Storage server.
@Wergulz is busy with finals for school this week
@donglekumquat continued working on music for Zombie Massacre.
