Daily Dev Log for August 2nd, 2017
Hey everyone! Here’s what everyone on the team has been working on over the course of today, August 2nd, 2017.
@Zak continued working on the chat server for the global chat system. Today he tested the protocol, and considered some ways to improve the implementation on the Unreal side.
@macdguy added dialogue events when walking near an NPC, finished the ladder system for the Virus map, Solar, helped release and fix issues with the Tower Unite 0.3.4.2 update, and wrote the changelog for said update.
@Foohy fixed some issues with joining lobby servers, disabled the “living lobby”, helped push out the Tower Unite 0.3.4.2 update, and ran a test of the “living lobby” server when under load.
@Lifeless planned and started to blockout the future nature store. He also planned the relocation of the estate agent from its current position, and planned for the new appearance store. Lastly, he helped test the update with @Caboose700 @macdguy and @Foohy.
@MrSunabouzu continued working on substance textures for Zombie Massacre.
@Madmijk is out of town visiting family.
@Johanna started researching how to do the planetary terrains for the upcoming Minigolf map, Odyssey. She also fixed some collision errors in the upcoming Virus map, Solar, and placed down the spawn points. She updated several of the courses in the upcoming Ball Race map, Oasis, to improve the course geometry and the UVWs, and worked on the overall art design.
@Caboose700 helped extensively tested the Tower Unite 0.3.4.2 update, and helped ship it out along with updating the lobby servers.
@Wergulz is busy with finals for school.
@Krionikal started remaking the confetti animations for the new animation rig, and tweaked the materials on the character for “The Stray”.
