Pixeltail should have this already planned but if not, I would really like to be able to place a ceiling with lights that switch on and off like in the regular condos on top of my build instead of covering the top part of my build with walls

Get yourself a lamp like this
Place it in the ceiling like so - be sure to have grid toggled to something that will place the base slightly below the ceiling. Also, drag the item directly out of your inventory into the ceiling so the item remains upright.
