Can't play with server running?

Under:
“D:\SteamCMD\tu\Tower\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\TowerServer.ini”

I have:
“[/script/towernetworking.dedicatedserveroptions]
ServerTitle=VinTheHero Server
MaxPlayers=8
-Port=27015
-QueryPort=27015
-nosteamclient
SteamLoginToken=[Censored but correct SteamAPI]”

But every time I start “TowerServer.exe” it deletes “-nosteamclient” so I can’t start the game and play on my server myself.

Any help appreciated.

The main caveat with the dedicated server is that you can not run it and join it on the same machine.

It’s something that can’t be done, unfortunately.

It is actually possible to run the server on the same machine, by adding -nosteamclient to the launch options.
That is an outdated guide. The one here should be used, as mentioned at the top of that post.
