Anonymous Reporting Feature?

So far the only way to report people is to post it on forums with your name being visible by everyone. What if u fear backlash or harassment for reporting said people? I’m not saying the people should be anonymous from the devs themselves, only from people that are not the devs.

It’s a simple feature and i feel a lot of more things would get reported this way.

They can make it where the ban report category is only visible to moderators+, or make a “Private ban report category” where only moderators+ can read.

I like this. There’s been a case or two with porn in the theaters, but I don’t want backlash, nor do I want to post an image of proof that’s not for kids to see.

Which makes me think of illegal content that’s for no one to see and should probably be deleted off Pixeltail servers once the authorities have it. At least one important argument for nonpublic reporting.

I’m thinking of the content the first five minutes of “Mr. Robot” are about.

you can message the devs for private stuff

I know I can report directly to them, I just don’t know which one I should specifically report to, aside from Mac, who like the rest of the crew, has their own stuff to deal with while working on the updates.

Sadly this is one place that Discourse (the forum software we use) really lacks. There’s no way to make this kind of system easily.

I’ll have to figure out something else.

What about an in-game report feature, like TF2 has? Just click a button and it takes a picture of your screen + u can add extra info. Would that be hard to script?
