Achievements & Trophies

Nuff said with achievements, but For every achievement, you should earn an in-game trophy made of bronze, Silver, gold, diamond, based on the difficulty of getting said achievement.

Merciless (Silver) - Kill 30 enemies total.
Green Plumber Award (Gold) - Do absolutely nothing to help your team and still win.
Total Victory (Diamond) - Win 3 Matches 25-0. (with 2+ players on each team)

You know what? Here’s one more, but dont make it a steam achievement or a requirement for 100%ing the game’s achievements:

Suggestor (Platinum) - Suggest a feature that was later added into the game!

This has been suggested many times and achievements have been confirmed to be in the game.

They’re not only suggesting achievements, but also for there to be an in-game version with different levels of difficulty to a single achievement. Taking a page from GTA V’s book, there are awards that have Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum levels. An example of one of the awards and all its levels would be:

The Champion - Win races (Any type or class)
Bronze: 5 races
Silver: 10 races
Gold: 25 races
Platinum: 50 races

So in Tower Unite’s case, it could be something like this:

Casino Royale - Win some Units in the Casino
Bronze: 1,000 Units
Silver: 10,000 Units
Gold: 50,000 Units
Diamond: 100,000 Units

Also just saying, I fully support this suggestion. I feel like it makes achievements more fulfilling, and it feels like you’re still achieving things while you’re making progress to the diamond tier.

I actually really like this idea, but the problem I’ve got with it is Steam achievement compatibility.

We’re gonna have steam achievements, right? So at what point do I get the achievement for a certain activity? What rank? Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum? If it’s the lowest rank, then steam achievements will be way too easy, maybe not for things like “Win first in Accelerate” but for something like “Win units in the casino”, all it would take is a couple pulls at the slots, or one hand in blackjack. On the flip side, the highest rank, Steam achievements would be way too hard to achieve, but would definitely be something to work for. People who like to 100% their library would have an extra hard time with this game, especially if at least one achievement they’re going for is not really their strong suit.

We could have it at something like Gold, which isn’t too far from reach but isn’t too easy, but then people might lose their incentive to go for diamond.

We could always have multiple Steam achievements for each activity; each level would just have its own, unique achievement. For example, reaching bronze rank in Activity would award the Activity (Bronze) achievement, silver would award Activity (Silver), and so forth. Your point about 100% achievements still stands in this case, though.

In regards to the suggestion itself, I think it’s a fine idea. It lets people show off how well rounded they are or how good they are at certain activities. Besides, it’s always nice to have earned certain condo items rather than buying them all.

I would say gold would be the steam achievement, and diamond would be the Xtra C00l Kids™ tier for all the completionists out there.

I think what they meant was that earning an achievement should give you an in game trophy made of silver, bronze, gold ect depending on how hard it is to get the achievement. I might be wrong though.

I think I would really enjoy getting achievements this way. It honestly reminds me of Little Big Planet 2 and 3’s Pin System.

This is a fantastic Idea like using the same system as GMT has for trophys but this time we have tiers for it!

Exactly what i mean! There are GMT Trophies, why not add TU trophies as well?

I think Mac mentioned in a stream that most game mechanics are WIP and setting up achievements wouldn’t really make sense if you have to modify them every month.
