I'm actually wondering if this isn't by design, here's why.
(disregard the red arrow)
The green arrows I added point to some faces of the mesh that point outwards. Outside faces on an inside-out mesh don't have a texture; they are invisible. However, you can clearly see that they do have a texture in the picture, which means the faces must have the correct orientation.
You'll know what I'm talking about if you have at least basic knowledge in 3D modeling, hopefully.
